    ABOUT LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTRE:

    Library is a place to quench one’s intellectual trust. The Library is a power house of knowledge which shelves a collection of 11,683 volumes with 3,871 titles on diverse topics. The Centralized library subscribes to National Journals, International Journals and Magazines. Library books are classified according to Dewey decimal classification is used to organize books in the library. The library provides multimedia facility to the students and facilitates online access to their reference work. Library offers students an excellent selection of books, journals and magazines and internet facilities. Hard bound volumes of the back issues of the journals and magazines are also available.

    The central library is computerized with NewGenLib Helium 3.3 library software which is Integrated Library Management System (ILMS) with Barcode technology that supports all in-house operations of the library. Members can use Web- OPAC to browse and search the library collections with extended bibliographic details.

    The Digital library is equipped with 10 systems to access e-books and e-journals. The Library subscribed NLIST Programme (National Library and Information Services for Infrastructure for Scholarly Content). It provides access to e-resources for library users from colleges and other beneficiary institutions through server(s) installed at the INFLIBNET centre. N-List user credentials are provided to all the students and staff members to provide them to have an easy access to the e-content in the N-List platform, remotely. The authorised users of the library can access e-resources and download articles required by them directly from the publisher’s website. The college has access to selected e-resources including e-books, e-books and bibliographic databases. These resources include 6,150 e-journals and 1, 99,536 e-books. It also provides access to the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) for the collection of e-learning resources with a single-window search facility developed by IIT Kharagpur.
